The new services will promote individual well-being, underpinned by the wellbeing principle (Care Act 2014). The services will be commissioned as a non-clinical, targeted services for adults with a mental health condition aged 18 years and above who are deemed to be ordinarily resident within the administrative area of the authority. Services can be accessed by people who have mental health needs to support them to develop their individual resilience, independence and skills to self-manage and safely maintain their place in their community, including accessing work-like activity. The service will be underpinned by partnership working approaches across public services to support individuals to manage their health conditions through accessing a variety of interventions and initiatives.
